My new hobby..

So a couple weeks ago on a Saturday, I had absolutely nothing to do. So I decided I was going to make something to sell in my salon. I finally decided on making hair flowers, and baby flower headbands and hats, because there fun and easy. So this is what I have been working on every once in a while..

Headbands, Hats and Hair flowers all finished..I wish I had finished them in time for summer, but these can be worn all year around!

Music...

So I am always on the look out for new music or old music or just any music. I feel like its easier to express feelings and emotions through music..It has such an influence in many peoples lives, especially mine.  Ive just posted a few of my favorites, some are old some are new but they all mean something...and are fun to sing to..and I know, some are country...but "Surprise" I actually enjoy country  :)

Finally, here is the song Alone Again that I have been working on. I couldn't find sheet music for this song so I spent many hours and days listening to the song on youtube and wrote down all the notes, then put it through noteflight.com which became sheet music. Its not perfect, but this is what i've been working on!

Well its been a looonggg time since I was last on here.

Well I've been home from California for about 10 days and it was soooo much fun, I looveedd it. The hair show was amazing and spending time with some cousins and aunts, uncles and grandparents was just great. I did a lot of great shopping...which once I got home, it became a reality that I didnt really have any room for the clothes and stuff I bought. So I deep cleaned my room and have a large basket of clothing that I havent worn or dont need and I am giving it away...done deal.
Another thing I realized is I need to figure out my life and what road im going to take next...either school, travelling or just stick with doing hair for the rest of my life. And as for my earlier post of school I was considering applying to, I still don't know what to do. I've figured out I need to take the ACT again if I am wanting to go to a school in the USA. So that is my next step....I hated the taking the ACT.
I am also going to start looking into a trip to Peru to do humanitarian work for next year...I think that would be so much fun. Hopefully I can figure something out.

Since I have been back, I have been working quite a bit but it has hit me how much time I have, because last semester I was going to school and working so I was busy all the time, and since Im not in school this semester its given me a lot of free time....which I dont really like, but I have found things to keep me busy. I am writing a song on the piano..well its already been written but I havent been able to find sheet music to it. Its to this song Alone Again by Alyssa Reid.

So I have been listening to this song who knows how many times and figuring out the piano notes. I found this website where I can make real sheet music and print it out. Its called : www.noteflight.com Its going good so far and Im almost done, ill post it soon.

I am also working on another song that is all my own...I couldnt sleep a couple nights ago and started tinkering on my keyboard at 3 am. Its going to be great, but Im a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to these things so that one might take a little longer to get down. But be expecting it to be posted soon!

Decisions, Decisions...I need to make a decision

So since I have been here in California for a couple days, I had some alone time which I have been researching about different Universities I want to apply to. I have narrowed them down to 3....ok, I only have come up with 3, but that pretty good considering a few days ago I only had one I was considering going to. Im thinking of maybe attending Winter/Spring semester of 2012.
I need your help with deciding...

I did a semester this past Fall at Mount Royal University in Calgary, and it went ok, but I kind of want to move away for school.

My first choice is Utah Valley University, and up to now was my only consideration but I have expanded my research. I have heard all good things about this school and I have lived in Utah already so I know where everything is. 

My 2nd choice is BYU HAWAII. Now this would be more like a dream for me, then reality. But it doesn't hurt to apply right? And Im going to try. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii and this would be a fun thing to do for at least a semester. Because in all honesty, I would be distracted by the ocean and sun and beaches and school work may not be such a high priority haha.

My last choice, would be BYU IDAHO, all though I have looked it up and seen that it is a decent school, I still cant get over the fact I wouldnt be able to wear shorts, capris or flip flops....that would be hard. Unless I went for the winter/spring term, then I may be able to get through it.

Most of these universities are pretty cheap to attend which is a plus.
My next step will be to figure out what Degree I want to do. I will still be a Hairstylist, but I want to get some more education. It will take some thinking since I thought I wanted to go more to the medical field, but I may rethink that.

As I have been looking at different schools to go to, I went back in time and found some pictures of my days living in Provo with my roommates.

All these fun memories make me miss college...So I need your help in deciding what to do...

Something that made me smile today..

I heard this song Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood today and I realized, I really like it. In fact, I love it. So I have decided Im going to learn this song on the piano..actually..Im going to play and sing it...at the same time haha, so we will have to see how well that goes :)

This song is basically saying that life here on Earth is temporary and is passing by and heaven is our final destination..

New to this blogging business...2011 so far

So I have decided to keep a blog...mostly it will be of the different things happening in my life. Mostly of pictures or video or music. I thought it might be fun to do. Bare with me, I am still trying to figure this all out but heres some stuff....
 I named my blog live, laugh, love because that is the motto I go by. Live every moment, Laugh everyday and Love beyond words...
When ever I am down or stressed with life or whatever it is, I think about this saying and it kind of cheers me up..because really, those are pretty much the core things you need in life haha.

The past couple weeks I did lots of skiing and had a birthday party...its been a great start to 2011. I am going to post some pictures of the fun that has been happening..
